Description
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, NICU – Seattle, WA 98122
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Seattle, Washington
Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Block scheduling available upon request. Intermittent weekend coverage required. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
Highlights:
- Level III/IV NICU with 77 beds and average daily census of 50 patients
- Care for neonates as young as 23-24 weeks gestation with complex medical needs
- Exposure to high-acuity procedures including high-frequency ventilation, therapeutic hypothermia, PICC/central line management, and neonatal surgeries
- Attend high-risk deliveries and work with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- 2:1 patient ratios across all shifts with dedicated admit nurse support
- Epic charting system with 24-40 hours of orientation provided
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required; must have at least 3 years Level III NICU or 2 years Level IV NICU experience
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience with blood/blood product administration, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPap/PEEP), central line care, and neonatal dosage calculations
- Proficiency with feeding tubes, therapeutic hypothermia, and care of extremely premature neonates (29+ weeks)
- Must be open to floating to sister campuses as needed (NICU, Special Care Nursery, or Pediatrics with newborns/infants only)
- Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
