Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Huntersville, North Carolina

Job Summary

Seeking a CT Tech with experience in Radiology/Cardiology for a 151-bed community hospital. The CT department uses Siemens Definition and Siemens Force scanners and performs a variety of exams including general scans, biopsies/drains, cardiac imaging, radiation treatment planning, and research scans.

Schedule

• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Call: None
• Float: None
• Weekend Schedule: None
• Missed shifts must be made up within the same week or added to the end of the contract.

Experience & Skills Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; 1st time travelers accepted
• Skills:

  • EPIC and McKesson systems
  • Experience with adolescents, adults, geriatrics
  • Outpatient, inpatient, ER, adult ICU
  • IV starts, contrast administration
  • CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, aspirations/biopsies, colonography, CT arthrography, drainage, CT angiographies, multiplanar reconstruction
  • Experience with GE and Siemens equipment
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (CT)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with neonates, pediatrics, infants
• Level I trauma experience
• Community hospital experience
• Biopsies, myelography, radiation therapy planning

Orientation & Training

• Corporate orientation (Epic training): 1 day
• Facility orientation with preceptor: 3 days (~64 hours)
• Start date subject to change based on class and trainer availability
• Travelers must be fully available during orientation days; missing any portion may delay or cancel start

Equipment & Systems

• Siemens Definition and Siemens Force CT scanners
• EPIC and McKesson electronic systems

Compliance & Requirements

• Background checks including criminal, education verification, and state-specific searches required within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (or within 30 days if past positive TB)
• Fit mask testing required (N95 or PAPR training)
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable
• Drug testing within 30 days of start (10-panel screen)
• Immunizations and titers required: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or facility-specific declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Radiation badge required for CT techs
• Medication safety and other facility-specific training modules must be completed
• Candidates must complete Non-Novant Health Worker Orientation modules prior to start

• Scrubs color: Royal Blue
• No call or float requirements
• Must provide interview availability within 72 hours of submission
• All missed shifts must be made up within the same week or added to the end of the contract
