Job Opportunity: RN - Telemetry (Neuro Medsurg)

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuro Medsurg / Telemetry
• Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM, every other weekend
• Time Off: Up to 1 week pre-approved time off allowed
• Floating: Yes, may be required to float to other units
• Patient Ratio: 5:1 or 6:1
• Number of Beds: 24
• EMR System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Neuro Medsurg / Telemetry)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Skills and Scope of Role

• Expertise in neuro assessments
• Critical thinking skills
• Drain management and post-surgical care
• Chest tube management
• Groin site management post Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Care for patients with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-op neuro surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, level 1 trauma post-ICU care, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), renal failure, and general post-op care

Additional Information

• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• No block scheduling
• Return to Office (RTO) maximum: 1 week
• Must attach required licenses and certifications with application to avoid rejection
