Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: West Hollywood, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients from adolescence through geriatric.
• Case load: Approximately 18-23 patients per shift.
• Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, alternating weekends (block schedule not approved).
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
• Floating: May float within department scope based on needs; no floating to sister facilities.
• Weekend requirement: Yes, alternating weekends.
• On-call: No.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Locals accepted.
• No pending state license accepted.
• No RTO (request time off) within first 2 weeks without manager approval.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty, 3 years preferred.
• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology with Level 1 Trauma and Stroke experience required.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT R & CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography & Computed Tomography)
  • California State License for CT Tech
  • Fluoroscopy Permit (preferred)
• Highly Preferred: Experience with GE and/or Canon CT Scanners.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete background checks including 7-year criminal history, SSN trace, nationwide search, sex offender search, and education verification.
• Education verification required for highest level of education.
• Drug screening panel required within 1 year of start (excluding Marijuana/THC).
• Fit mask test within 12 months required (N95 or equivalent respirators).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year required.
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, titer, or declination)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
• Seasonal flu vaccination mandatory during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30). Religious and medical exemptions considered but may delay start date.
• References: 2 professional references required, including 1 supervisory.
• Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for new candidates and if there is a 30-day gap between assignments.

Job Duties

• Operate CT equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Provide patient care and assessment across a wide age range.

• Floating only within department scope.
• First-time travelers accepted; prior travel experience not required.
• Locals accepted; no pending state license accepted.
