Job Opportunity: RN - Neuro Spine MS/Tele

Overview

Job Description

• Shift: Night shift, 7 PM - 7 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays; call is voluntary
• Block Scheduling: Yes, approved (must work every other weekend)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:6

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - can be obtained during the first week of orientation
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years
• Skills/Experience Required:

  • Expertise in neuro assessments
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Drain management and post-surgical care
  • Chest tube and groin site management post-interventional radiology

Additional Information

• Scope of Role:

  • Higher med-surg acuity with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-op neuro/spinal surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, and level 1 trauma post-ICU care, as well as other conditions like DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care.
• Floating: Yes, required
• Department Scrub Color: Navy

• Travel Requirements: Candidates must be greater than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
