Job Opportunity: CT/Xray Technologist - NIGHTS

Location: Craig, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide diagnostic imaging services using CT scanners and other imaging modalities. Ensure accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and optimal patient care. Educate patients about procedures and equipment to ensure understanding and cooperation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment following radiation safety procedures.
• Position patients for CT scans using positioning devices and protective equipment.
• Perform exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or Radiologist instructions.
• Assist radiologists with routine and interventional CT procedures.
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, organize images, and label appropriately.
• Transmit images to the Image Archival System.
• Dispense and/or order oral contrast for CT scans.
• Perform IV placement and administer IV contrast safely.
• Demonstrate proficiency in radiographic procedures including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR work.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards (ALARA).
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EHR, including procedure and supply charges.
• Assist in other imaging modalities as needed; flexible with schedules, call, overtime, and holiday shifts.
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required.
• Train or cross-train imaging staff members.
• Manage supply inventory ordering and stocking.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R), including Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing CT Technologist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cross-training in other modalities such as MRI, DEXA, and Mammography.
• Experience with electronic records systems including PACS and RIS/HIS.

Additional Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
• Completion of Employee Health meeting prior to employment start.
