Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVICU Nights
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Unit Size: 16 beds
- Travel Radius: 50 miles local radius (local candidates not accepted)
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience, with CVICU experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS certification
Required Licenses
- Primary source verification required
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background check (7 years, updated annually)
- Education verification (highest level)
- Drug screening (negative 10-panel within 90 days)
- Physical exam within 12 months
- Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)

- Work history verification (7 years)

- Compliance with orientation safety manual and HIPAA requirements
Notes
- This position does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
- Fingerprinting must be completed for every new contract and clearance is required before working on the unit.
- Candidates can attend orientation and training pending fingerprint clearance.
This role is ideal for experienced CVICU nurses seeking a travel contract opportunity with night shifts and a manageable patient ratio in a critical care setting.
