Job Opportunity: Case Manager - Registered Nurse

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour day shifts
Shift Times: One of the following:
- 07:00 - 15:30
- 07:30 - 16:00
- 08:00 - 16:30
- 08:30 - 17:00
Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule
On-call: No
Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
Block Schedule: Not accommodated
Locals: Not accepted (candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility)
Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift per 2 weeks)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska
Minimum 1 year of case management experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Scheduling & Time Off

Only 1 time off request per 13-week assignment (up to 5 days)
No holiday time off for auto offer candidates

Required Documentation & Compliance

Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
Drug screen: 10 panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
Immunizations and health documents required:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
Respirator fit testing required annually (travel only)
References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
Employment application covering at least last 5 years

Training & Competency Requirements

Completion of required Workramp modules including:
- Annual regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for case management
- Basics of trauma-informed care (required at this facility)
Epic training modules completion required
Medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
Skills checklist updated annually as applicable

Additional Notes

Candidates must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
Pending licenses are not accepted for auto offer; Alaska RN license must be in hand
No local candidates accepted (must live 50+ miles away)
Background checks and other compliance documents must be current and uploaded as required
This is a travel contract position with a 13-week duration
