Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts (0630-1800 hours, start/stop times may vary)
• Schedule: Monday through Saturday rotation, no Sundays or observed holidays
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, rotating Saturday coverage
• On-call: No
• Floating: May be required to float within scope to cover X-ray
• Locals Accepted: No (candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility)
• First Timers Accepted: Yes

Unit Information

• Outpatient clinic setting
• Most patients are mobile
• Commonly see follow-up cancer diagnosis patients
• Responsibilities include starting IVs, running I-stat labs, injecting contrast, and post-processing images

Required Experience & Skills

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• X-Ray Experience Required:

  • Extremities
  • Abdomen/GI
  • Spine/Pelvis
  • Head/Chest/Thorax
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Lower/Upper Extremities
• Preferred Experience:

  • Fluoroscopy studies
  • Enema studies

Required Certifications

• ARRT-R (Radiologic Technologist)
• ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Qualifications

• Valid professional license for Radiologic Technologist as applicable
• Ability to work in an acute outpatient setting
• Skills per unit description (acute outpatient)

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to rotate shifts and cover weekends as needed
• Must be able to float to other imaging modalities within scope
• Background checks and verifications as per standard healthcare travel contract requirements
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance to work
• Immunizations and health screenings including TB, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, COVID vaccine or declination as required
• Drug screening within 90 days of start
• Completion of required compliance and regulatory training modules prior to start

This position is ideal for a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience who is comfortable working in an outpatient acute care setting and is willing to travel to Alaska for a 13-week contract. Weekend work and some floating within imaging modalities are required. First-time travel healthcare workers are welcome to apply.
