Job Opportunity: Case Manager (Registered Nurse)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour day shifts
Shift Times: One of the following - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend or 4 weekend days in a 4-week schedule
On-call: No
Floating: Yes, clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
Block Schedule Accommodation: No
Locals Accepted: No, candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 8-hour shift per 2 weeks)
Time Off Requests: Only 1 time off request per 13-week assignment of 5 days or less; no holiday time off for auto offer

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska
Minimum 1 year of Case Management experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Acute Care experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Requirements

Must meet background check and verification requirements including:
- Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification (nursing degree)
- Drug screening (10 panel within 90 days of start)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and health documents including:
  - TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  - Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
  - MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  - Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
  - Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  - Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  - COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator clearance (RespSafety) for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024
Must complete required WorkRamp training modules annually, including:
- Regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules as applicable
- Basics of Trauma Informed Care (required at this facility)
References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
Employment application covering at least last 5 years

Notes

Pending licenses are not accepted; Alaska RN license must be in hand for auto offer
Candidates must be willing to float within their scope of practice
Background checks and other compliance documents must be current and meet facility standards
This is a travel contract position; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
