Job Summary

Seeking a CT Technologist with experience in Radiology/Cardiology for a travel contract position. The role involves working in a busy outpatient and Emergency Department setting with a focus on adult acute care, ICU, and emergency care environments.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience in Acute Care settings including Adult Acute Care, ICU, and Emergency Department
• Management or lead experience
• Radiation Safety knowledge and practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
• Skills in Colorectal Studies (rectal contrast), Heart imaging, 3D rendering, Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), Region of Interest (ROI)
• Special procedures such as Aspirations, Biopsies, Brain Perfusion, CT arthrography, Drainage, Myelography

Work Details

• Shift: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (10:00 AM - 10:30 PM) on either Monday, Thursday, and Friday OR Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Call: None
• Float: None
• Weekend Requirement: Possible 8-hour shift on a weekend day if coverage is needed, with 2 weeks' notice
• Patient Age Group: Neonates through Geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses: All types
• Unit Orientation: 16 hours, typically 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM during training period
• Scrubs: Not provided; Royal Blue color recommended
• Unit Systems: EPIC electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Start Date: Subject to change based on class and trainer availability; travelers must be fully available during orientation week (Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday start possible)
• Orientation: Missing any portion may delay or cancel start
• Radiation Badge: Required and provided if applicable
• Special Equipment: Siemens CT scanner mandatory
• Patient Care Setting: Busy outpatient and emergency department environment

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Candidates must complete and provide documentation for the following (not exhaustive):

• Background checks and verifications (within specified timeframes)
• Required certifications (BLS, ARRT CT, and others as applicable)
• Health screenings including TB test, immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella), and drug testing
• Facility-specific training and compliance forms including confidentiality agreements, medication safety, and annual compliance training
• Photo for badge creation (passport-style, business attire, no head coverings except glasses)
• Completion of Epic system orientation or test-out if eligible

Important Notes

• No call-offs or additional time off allowed after booking; excessive absences may result in cancellation
• Must have Siemens CT experience; this is a strict requirement
• Travelers must be flexible and fully available during orientation and start week
• No weekend or float requirements except as noted
• This is a travel contract position with an 8-week duration
