Location: Apple Valley, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position involves working as a CT Technologist in an acute care hospital setting.
• Must be open to all shift times; specific shift requests cannot be accommodated.
• Self-scheduling is based on seniority.
• Typical CT start times: 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM.
• Patient ratio: 1:1.
• Weekend work may be required every other weekend to meet unit needs.
• No on-call required.
• No floating between units.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated based on unit needs.
• Locals are accepted at the same rate.
• Guaranteed hours with the possibility of call-offs once every two-week pay period.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in California.
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.

Facility & Work Environment

• Acute Care Hospital with 212 staffed beds.
• Charting system: Epic.
• Free parking available.
• Scrub colors: Navy Blue for RNs; others provided as needed.

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with all required background checks, including state-specific searches.
• Must complete required health screenings and immunizations, including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
  • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination form.
  • COVID vaccine or declination.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
  • Drug screening within 90 days of start.
• Fit mask testing required for travel candidates.
• Completion of required training modules prior to start, including regulatory and specialty-specific modules.
• References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.

Notes

• This position requires flexibility with shifts and weekend work.
• No prior travel experience is explicitly required.
• Floating to other units is not expected.
• All certifications must be current and valid for California practice.
• Candidates must be able to self-schedule based on seniority.
