Physical Therapy Assistant - Contract

Job Description

Seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant with a minimum of 1 year professional experience. Home health experience is preferred.

• Assigned territory includes multiple counties in the Oakland and Fremont areas.

• Two scheduling options available:

  • Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 36 hours per week with at least 30 productivity points weekly. May require travel outside the area or weekend work to meet visit expectations. Guarantee does not apply during the first and last week, holidays, or approved time off.
  • Non-Guaranteed Hours: No guaranteed hours; weekend coverage and occasional travel outside the service area may be required. Patient refusals allowed.

• Must be willing to see COVID-positive and COVID PUI patients.

• Hours approved on a per-visit basis (e.g., Routine Visit = 1 point = 1.33 hours).

• Compensation covers drive/travel time, visit time, documentation, and communication with patients and doctors.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in California
• Minimum 1 year professional experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant within the last year
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Additional Information

• All requested time off must be disclosed at submission; post-acceptance time off requests will not be approved.
• Compliance with agency contract terms is mandatory to maintain vendor status.
• Must be willing to travel and work weekends as needed to meet productivity requirements.
