Description

Registered Nurse (Pre Op) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the patient population on assigned units.
Ensure quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards.
Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Use clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Perform Point of Care testing procedures as needed.

Work Schedule & Environment

5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
On-call requirement: 1-2 call nights per week from end of shift to 10:00 PM
Floating between locations required
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Dress code: Pewter scrubs
Blocked scheduling accommodated
No weekend requirement

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
Minimum 1 year of preoperative nursing experience within the last year

Licenses & Certifications

BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
