Description

Registered Nurse (Pre Op) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the patient population on assigned units.
  • Ensure quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Use clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
  • Perform Point of Care testing procedures as needed.

Work Schedule & Environment

  • 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
  • On-call requirement: 1-2 call nights per week from end of shift to 10:00 PM
  • Floating between locations required
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
  • Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
  • Dress code: Pewter scrubs
  • Blocked scheduling accommodated
  • No weekend requirement

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 1 year of preoperative nursing experience within the last year

Licenses & Certifications

  • BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
