Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Location: Odessa, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform ultrasound imaging to create quality obstetrical and gynecologic images for physician interpretation.
• Operate imaging equipment and review images to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Identify normal and abnormal imaging results and communicate findings to physicians or other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate and diagnose high-risk pregnancies.
• Provide diagnostic services including abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), transvaginal sonograms, and small parts scanning (thyroid, breast, scrotum).
• Perform ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients.

Additional Information

• This position is based in a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinic setting, not a hospital.
• Strong skills in MFM clinic ultrasound are essential.
