Registered Nurse - Oncology
Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Work Type: Full Time
Job Summary
- Practice independently in the same or similar clinical setting, providing routine and complex nursing care.
- Develop skills to manage contingencies in clinical nursing and make appropriate assignments and delegations to other care providers.
- Provide nursing care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Oncology nursing experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
