Occupational Therapist – Rehabilitation Therapy

Location: Honakaa, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional occupational therapy services under general supervision for a full range of rehabilitation and habilitation cases.
• Perform diagnostic assessments, prepare, and implement treatment plans.
• May provide all occupational therapy services for a unit, center, or facility.
• Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary; services are provided 24/7.
• Utilize EMR system (Meditech).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Hawaii.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Occupational Therapist experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience working with adult patients.
• Experience in Acute Care, Rehabilitation, and Outpatient settings.

Schedule

• Department operates 7 days per week from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Typical schedule is a 5-day workweek with possible 1 weekend day (Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday).
• Hours may total up to 88 hours per two-week period.
• No guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Additional Information

• Must arrive the Thursday before the assignment start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
• Prior travel experience is not required.
