Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg (Adult) - Night Shift

Shift Details

• Night shift: 7pm - 7am
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
• Includes every other weekend
• Travelers start on Wednesdays
• During orientation week, hours may be reduced to 36 hours for a 48-hour contract due to midweek start

Job Description

• Provide nursing care primarily for adult patients with occasional pediatric patients (not a pediatric floor; pediatric-only RNs not accepted)
• Work in a general Medical/Surgical unit covering medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions
• Collaborate with Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor
• Deliver holistic care addressing patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• Minimum 3 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification

Additional Information

• Credentialing documents must be uploaded at least five business days before start date for smooth onboarding
• Prior travel experience is required for this position
