Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Lubbock, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (4x10 hours), 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Hours per Week: 40 hours

Facility Overview

• Pediatric acute care environment at a Children’s Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Total staffed beds: 181
• Expected patient ratio: 1-5 patients per night
• Free parking available

Job Details

• Position does not float between units
• No on-call required
• Weekend work required: Sundays from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM
• No block schedules required
• Must have knowledge of Siemens CT scanner
• Pediatric acute care and trauma experience preferred

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• CT Technologist experience within the last year

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
• Fit mask test (respirator fit testing) required for travel candidates, updated annually
• Immunizations and documentation required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
  • Hepatitis B: vaccination series or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or signed declination
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates

Background & Compliance

• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
• Education verification required for all candidates
• State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable
• Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)
• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS

Additional Notes

• Floating policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to nearby facilities
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency required as applicable
• Color blindness testing may be required on a unit-by-unit basis
• Radiation badge issued by facility if applicable

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with pediatric and trauma experience who are comfortable working night shifts in a specialized children’s hospital setting.
