ICU Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Night (4 shifts of 12 hours each, 18:30 - 7:00)
Hours per week: 48 (option for 36 or 48 hours)
Patient ratio: 1:2
Float required
Weekends required
First-time travel nurses are welcome

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Background and Compliance Requirements

7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
Education verification of highest level completed
Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (New Mexico placements only)
Photo for badge (clear headshot)
Employment application and resume required
7-year work history verification required
Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
Medication/pharmacology competency exam (minimum 80% score or meet Angoff score)
Color blindness test (online version accepted)
Core HIPAA and safety manual acknowledgments

Additional Notes

Orientation and EPIC training can be attended pending fingerprint clearance, but no unit work until clearance is received
Medical exemptions for flu vaccine must be signed by a provider and approved; religious exemptions require documentation
Prior travel experience is not required for this position

This position offers an opportunity for ICU RNs with at least one year of experience to work night shifts in a critical care setting with a 1:2 patient ratio, requiring flexibility for floating and weekend work.
