Job Description

• Full-time position working in an intensive preschool classroom.
• Caseload: Approximately 5 students in the morning and 5 in the afternoon.
• Ages served: 3 to 5 years old.
• 100% inside the classroom setting.
• Collaboration with an early childhood special education teacher.
• Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (7.5 hours per day).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Colorado

Certifications & Verifications

• State license verification required twice: upon receipt of assignment and 30 days prior to start.
• Educational Services state teaching certificate verification as applicable.
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment (annual update required).
• Drug testing, physical exam, TB testing, and immunizations only if specifically required by the client or state.
• COVID-19: Face masks are required; vaccination not required by client.

Additional Requirements

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID).
• Various accounting and tax documents required prior to start.
• Emergency contact information and arbitration agreement (annual renewal).
• Fingerprint clearance attestation must be on file prior to start.
• Candidates convicted of crimes involving children are not permitted to work on district property or have access to district information.

Notes

• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests are not required unless specifically requested by the client.
• Prior travel experience is not specified as a requirement.
• ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is not required by the client for this position.

This position is ideal for a licensed Speech Language Pathologist seeking a short-term travel assignment in an educational preschool setting with a small caseload and close collaboration with special education staff.
