Job Summary

• Implement patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength.
• Work in an outpatient physical therapy clinic/rehabilitation setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using physical therapy and rehabilitation techniques.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care.
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking safety, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Participate in business marketing and referral processes as needed.
• Follow HIPAA policies and procedures to protect patient privacy.
• Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
• Use computer skills (typing, Word, Internet, EMR) to complete job requirements.
• Be physically mobile during 8-10 hour workdays, including sitting, walking, and standing.

Physical Demands

• Frequent walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds and assist patients with mobility restraints.
• Constant alertness for patient safety.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Rehabilitation Therapist license in California.
• Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Rehabilitation Therapist, including experience within the last year.
• Experience as a Physical Therapist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Continuing education courses in Physical Therapy.

Work Environment

• Outpatient rehabilitation clinic.
• Flexible shift schedule.

Additional Notes

• No travel required.
• Supervisory responsibility for PT Assistants and Aides.
