Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Job Summary

• Role: Operating Room Nurse (Circulator)
• Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians to provide patient care during surgeries
  • Ensuring availability of supplies and equipment for cases
  • Managing case timeliness and communication with patient families
  • Updating physician preference cards
  • Scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical procedures
  • Supervising personnel delivering patient care
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Unit size: 9 beds
• EMR system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Provided by hospital
• No floating to other units required

Schedule & Shift Details

• Shift options:

  • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • OR 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Call requirements:

  • 3 first-call shifts, 3 second-call shifts, and 1 weekend call every 6 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience in Orthopedics
• Experience in Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN)
