Description

Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery RN (Night Shift)

Location

Newport, Vermont (Northeast Kingdom region, near the Canadian border)
Small town with limited public transportation; personal transportation strongly recommended
Area offers outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
Community provides a peaceful lifestyle with recreational opportunities

Position Details

Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Hours per Week: 36
Facility Size: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
Unit: Labor & Delivery including Post-Partum and Baby Unit
Additional Duties: Flexibility to float to other units and care for overflow from the Progressive Care Unit

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Vermont
Labor and Delivery nursing experience, minimum 5 years, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
- STABLE (Post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick infants)
- C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Additional Information

Agency professionals must attend department quarterly education sessions
Support provided for transition into the community and role
