Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights
Location: St Johnsbury, Vermont
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED) setting.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and collaborate with other specialties to adjust care plans.
- Work effectively under pressure as part of a healthcare team managing medical and nursing care.
- The ED is rural with nine beds, handling over 15,000 patients annually, currently undergoing expansion.
- Use Meditech electronic health record system; ability to learn quickly is required.
Schedule
- Night shift: three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 pm – 7:00 am).
- Must be able to cover mid-shifts as needed.
- Travelers start on Wednesdays.
- Orientation week may have adjusted hours (36 guaranteed hours for a 48-hour contract week).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Vermont
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
