Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Fullerton, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
Acute Care Hospital setting with 320 staffed beds
On-call requirement: 7 days on call per 2-week pay period (2 nights/week post-shift + 1 weekend every 2 weeks; weekends may exceed every other to meet unit needs)
Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
Charting system: Meditech
Free parking available

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1.5 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment in a similar specialty
Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
- BLS (American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Requirements

Must comply with float policy; may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance
Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp) prior to start and annually thereafter
Epic training transcripts required prior to start and ongoing completion of assigned modules
Fit mask testing required annually; may be completed onsite if no valid record within 1 year
Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
Background checks include SSN trace, death master index, sex offender registry, FACIS Level 3, education verification, motor vehicle record (if applicable), and international background search if applicable
State-specific background and registry checks as required (e.g., Washington state patrol, OBRA registry for CNAs if applicable)
