Registered Nurse - Hospice (Travel)
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview
- Role is for a Home Hospice Nurse providing care in Buncombe County.
- Nurse will travel by personal vehicle between patient appointments; mileage reimbursed at the federal rate.
- Patient ratio approximately 1:15.
- Documentation and charting performed using the Home Care Home Base EMR system.
- Typical procedures include patient assessment, pain management, and family education.
- Position requires self-sufficiency and experience as a hospice case manager.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum 2 years of hospice nursing experience, including hospice experience within the last year.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Active driver's license required for travel between patient homes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional home health experience is a plus.
Work Details
- Typical workweek: 36 hours.
- Dress code: Scrubs.
- Potential for backup on-call duties, though not frequent.
Additional Information
- This is a mobile role with no fixed unit or building; nurse will work in patients' homes.
- Team structure includes 1 team manager, 1 clinical nurse coordinator, 3 RN case managers, and 2-3 patient care technicians during day shifts.
- Night shift staffing details not specified.
