Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) Travel Position

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel


Unit Information

  • Department: Diagnostic Imaging (DX Radiology)
  • Location: 2nd floor, F Tower
  • Number of Beds: 800
  • Staffing:
    • Day Shift: 16 technologists + supervisor
    • Evening Shift: 10 technologists, 2 student techs + supervisor
    • Night Shift: 4 technologists + supervisor
  • Equipment: GE Rad rooms (including portable), Shiatzu, C-arms OEC, O-arms Medtronics
  • EMR System: Cerner Rad Net

Job Responsibilities & Skills

  • Perform all diagnostic radiology imaging including portable and operating room (OR) procedures
  • Experience with emergency department (ED) trauma imaging required
  • Preferred skills: fluoroscopic procedures
  • Typical procedures: diagnostic imaging, portable imaging, trauma imaging, fluoroscopic, and surgical imaging
  • Work environment: team-oriented but requires ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and adaptable

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT (R) Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Additional Information

  • Dress Code: Black scrubs
  • Weekend rotation required
  • On-call duties may be required

This position is ideal for a radiologic technologist with solid diagnostic imaging skills, trauma imaging experience, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a busy hospital setting.
