RN - OR Travel Position
Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (5x8 hour shifts)
Call Requirements:
- Minimum 1 weekday call per week
- Weekend call rotation
- On-call shifts Monday–Friday 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

Job Description
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) as part of the surgical team
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians
- Ensure availability of supplies and timeliness of surgical cases
- Communicate with patient families and update physician preference cards
- Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures
- Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the OR
- Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN guidelines, and hospital policies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working with adult and pediatric patients
- Experience in orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN), plastic surgery, and trauma
