Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Holidays and every other weekend required
- Maximum allowed time off (RTO): 1 week
- 36 hours per week
Unit Details
- 24-bed unit
- Patient ratio: 5:1 or 6:1
- Floating to other units required
Job Description / Scope of Role
- Care for higher acuity med-surg patients with neurological diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-op neuro surgeries
- Care for level 2 trauma patients and level 1 trauma post-ICU care
- Manage patients with DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care
- Responsibilities include neuro assessments, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube and groin site management post interventional radiology (IR)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Expertise in neurological assessments
- Experience with post-surgical care
- Experience managing chest tubes
- Experience with groin site management post interventional radiology (IR)
