Registered Nurse - Home Health
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a home health setting within Transylvania County/Brevard, NC.
- Patient load typically 5-6 patients per day.
- Documentation system used: HCHB.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shifts.
- Uniform: Navy blue or navy/white scrubs required.
- Must have a reliable vehicle for patient visits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- HHCCA - De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting certification
- Successful completion of Home Health Nurse Exam
- Completion of Home Health Nurse Skills Checklist
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Proven experience working in a Home Health setting
Additional Information
- The unit serves approximately 100 patients.
- Home health nursing experience is critical for success in this role.
- Therapy positions require home health experience but are not part of this RN role.
- Dress code for therapy staff is business casual; for nursing, navy or navy/white scrubs.
- Candidates should be prepared to follow unit-specific policies and guidelines.

- Reliable transportation is essential due to patient home visits.
