Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)
Location: Thornton, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information
- Unit Type: Medical Acute Care (Med/Surg)
- Number of Beds: 26
- Patient Ratio: 6:1
- Staff on Day Shift: Charge nurse, 4 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Staff on Night Shift: Charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 PCTs
- Equipment Used: Baxter IV pumps, Sequential Compression Devices (SCD) machines
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS certification required
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification preferred
Typical Procedures and Patient Care
- Care for medical patients
- Management of drips such as heparin
- Post-operative care including radial cardiac catheterization patients
