Registered Nurse (PACU) - Asheville, NC (Travel)
Job Details
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Unit Size: 40 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
- Staffing:
- Hospital Unit Coordinator (HUC) available 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 4 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) assigned to specific pods daily, capable of drawing labs, catheterizations, and patient transport
- Equipment: Standard PACU equipment
- Documentation System: Cerner
- Scheduling: 6-week schedules with 3 required call shifts within that period
- Floating Policy: Float within peri-anesthesia areas including Endoscopy, PreOp, and Phase II
- Dress Code: Surgical green or navy scrubs
Required Qualifications
- License: Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty
- Skills:
- Trauma experience
- Pediatric experience
- NIH Stroke Scale experience
- Advanced ventilator monitoring skills
Additional Information
- Procedures performed on unit include ventilator monitoring and other standard PACU care
- Opportunity to work with experienced staff and utilize new equipment and technology
- Schedule options include call shifts and floating within peri-anesthesia units
