Registered Nurse - Oncology (Travel)

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday clinic hours
No weekends or major holidays
Approximately 36 hours per week

Unit Details

Unit: Gynecologic Oncology Infusion
Number of chairs: 16
Patient ratio: 4 patients per nurse at a time
No unit secretaries or techs available
Equipment used: Alaris Pumps
Documentation system: MediTech Expanse
Floating: May float to TCT Infusion unit after orientation

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Chemotherapy Certification by Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Skills and Procedures

Chemotherapy administration
Accessing Port-A-Cath using sterile technique
Obtaining peripheral venous access
IV hydration and electrolyte repletion
Measuring height, weight, and vital signs
Drawing labs via central venous catheter or peripheral access

Dress Code

Solid colored scrubs in navy, lavender, pink, black, or teal

Additional Information

Chemotherapy patient experience is required
Orientation provided before floating to other infusion units
