Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Hermitage, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM)

Unit Overview

Unit: Women’s / NICU
Beds: 24 LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) and 10 NICU beds
Patient Ratios:
- Labor/Delivery: 1:1 to 1:2
- Postpartum: 1:4
- Well Infants: 1:4
- NICU: 1:2 to 1:3
Staffing includes RNs, Unit Coordinators, Patient Care Technicians, and Lactation Consultants
Equipment: Fetal Monitoring, Alaris IV Pumps
Documentation System: CPN
Floating Policy: No floating required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Additional Information

Patient care involves labor, delivery, and postpartum care with a focus on fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation
Dress code requires black and hot pink uniform colors
The unit does not require floating to other departments
The environment includes experienced staff and use of current technology and equipment

This position is ideal for RNs with Labor & Delivery experience seeking a travel assignment in a specialized women’s and neonatal care unit.
