CT Tech - Radiology

Location: Danville, Virginia

Facility Overview

• 250-bed academic community hospital with a 24-hour Emergency Department
• Region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
• Accredited by American College of Cardiology and American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer
• Services include comprehensive surgical, home health & hospice, advanced wound healing, cardiac rehab, cath labs, and oncology
• Patient population primarily adults and geriatrics; pediatric cases are rare
• Equipment includes GE VCT 64 slice and GE Brightspeed 16 slice CT scanners
• Electronic Health Record system: Meditech

Position Details

• Department: Radiology (2nd floor)
• Role: CT Technologist
• Number of Openings: 1
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Weekend Hours: Variable (coverage when others are off)
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: None
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color; no jeans or leggings

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS and CPR certification
• Must consent to random drug screening and complete a criminal questionnaire/consent form

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CT imaging for diagnoses such as pulmonary embolism, stroke, kidney stones, appendicitis, chest pain, abdominal pain, and trauma cases (e.g., motor vehicle accidents)
• Team player with a positive attitude

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
• The hospital is located in a small town known as “The River District,” featuring parks, trails, historical architecture, and cultural attractions
