Registered Nurse - Surgery (Travel)

Job Summary
- Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a cardiovascular operating room setting, including open-heart cases.
- Support general operating room cases as needed.
- Practice consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to manage clinical situations.
- Demonstrate leadership competencies (Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, including CVOR experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Operating Room (OR) experience
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
