Registered Nurse (PACU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Unit Information

Unit: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Staffing: Only RNs; no unit secretaries or techs available
Equipment: Bedside monitors, arterial lines (a-lines)
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: 12-hour shifts with call rotations
Floating Policy: No floating
Patient Experience Focus: OAS CAHPS
Procedures: Intubations performed (anesthesia leads this)
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Team Environment: Great teamwork

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification
PALS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

Preferred Certifications: CCRN and CAPA preferred but not required
No unit secretaries or tech support; RNs handle all unit responsibilities
Opportunity to work with new equipment and experienced staff
Emphasis on patient care quality and teamwork
