Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Hospital
Location: Eureka, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5 days a week, 8 hours per day, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Required Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
Prior Travel Experience: Not required (First Time Traveler: No)
Job Description
- Start date: ASAP
- California state license required (pending license not accepted)
- No weekend or call requirements specified
- No float or specific patient ratio requirements
- No specific visit or census data provided
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as an Occupational Therapist
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- Education verification required for all candidates
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable)
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps
- State-specific searches and attestations as applicable (e.g., Washington state patrol search if applicable)
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
Additional Notes
- Candidate may be required to float to other nearby facilities within a reasonable distance
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
- Some facility-specific or regional training modules and attestations may be required annually
- Return candidates with less than 90-day gap may have some requirements waived or extended
This position offers a travel occupational therapy opportunity in an acute care hospital setting in California with a 13-week contract and day shift hours. Candidates must hold a valid California OT license and meet all health, background, and certification requirements.
