Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel Assignment)
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: 9 Tower Medical/Telemetry
- Beds: 29
- Staff: 8 total (Day Shift: 5 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs; Night Shift: 5 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs)
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:6 (not guaranteed)
- Equipment: PCA Pumps, IV Pumps
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
Typical Procedures
- Management of central lines
- Administration of medication drips
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Positive attitude and engaged
- Independent with strong critical thinking skills
- Prior patient care experience is a priority
Additional Notes
- The unit is competitive for travel nurses; highlighting skills and certifications will improve consideration.
- The schedule is day shift, 7 AM to 7 PM.
