Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit type: Respiratory Therapy
Number of beds: 340
Number of staff on unit: 25
Shift staffing: Day shift (3-4 staff), Night shift (3 staff)
Patient load: Approximately 20-25 treatments per round
Equipment used: Oxygen, BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, blood gas machines
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EXPANSE

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
NBRC certification
Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS

Work Schedule and Attire

Typical workweek: 36 hours
Rotating weekends and on-call duties required
Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs

Typical Procedures Performed

Nebulizer treatments
BIPAP/CPAP management
Ventilator management
Arterial blood gas sampling and analysis

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists seeking a travel assignment in a busy hospital setting with a strong ICU focus.
