Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry
Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit & Facility Information
- Unit: Telemetry Medical/Surgical (Tele Med/Surg)
- Trauma Level: IV
- Number of Beds: 199 (facility-wide)
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Patient Population: All ages
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Meditech
- Float Requirements: May float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed
- Shift Hours: 36 hours per week, weekend hours every other weekend or as needed
- Call Requirements: As needed
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Mexico
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- HWC certification
Additional Requirements & Notes
- Must comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting and background check requirements prior to hire; a 14-day supervised waiver period may be allowed while awaiting results
- Scrub color: Any
- No casual wear allowed
