Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)
Location: Kennewick, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility & Unit Overview
- 16 private rooms on 2 North floor
- Trauma Level 3 facility
- Patient population: Geriatric and Adult
- Patient ratios: 1:4 standard, 1:3 for higher acuity
- Electronic Health Record system: Paragon (McKesson)
- Unit specialty: Medical-Surgical
- Common diagnoses/treatments: Alcohol detox, Post PCI, DKA/HHS, Cardiac issues, GI problems, BIPAP use
Position Details
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend requirement: 2 weekend shifts every 2-week pay period
- Call requirements: Yes
- Float requirements: Yes
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Experience with medication titration
Additional Information
- No block schedules
- Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
- Dress code: Standard professional attire required (no unprofessional attire)
- Recreational area includes golf courses, parks, and is located in Washington Wine Country
- Facility serves the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland) with 111 beds total
This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs seeking a travel assignment in a well-equipped, trauma level 3 hospital with a diverse adult and geriatric patient population.
