RN - Emergency Dept
Job Overview
- Location: Englewood, Colorado
- Employment type: Travel
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- PALS
- CPI
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a large hospital setting
- Prior Meditech experience
Unit Details
- Emergency department with 18 beds
- Typical staffing includes 2 day-shift RNs, 2 night-shift RNs, and some mid-shift coverage
- Usual patient ratio is about 4:1, depending on acuity
Common Procedures / Responsibilities
- IVs
- EKGs
- Foley catheters and splints
- Wound infiltration and wound care
- Medication administration and assessments

- Expanded support resources include respiratory therapy, house supervisor coverage, med/surg and ICU floor support, full lab services, and on-site radiology including CT, MRI, echo, x-ray, and ultrasound
