RN - Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Overview

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment type: Travel
Contract length: 8 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
Hours per week: 36
Call: Required, with rotating self-scheduling
Floating: Not required

Unit Details

Pediatric cardiovascular operating room setting
Dedicated pediatric CVOR team
2 pediatric CVOR rooms
Day shift staffing includes 4 CSTs and 5 RNs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
CVOR (1 year of experience)
CVOR experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting

Preferred Experience

Pediatric CVOR experience

Key Responsibilities / Procedures

Open heart surgery for pediatric congenital heart patients
Bedside sternal closures and washout procedures in the ICU
