Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: 6:30a–3p, Monday–Friday, with call
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Operating Room experience within the last year
- 2 years of Operating Room experience
- BLS
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS/BCLS
- PALS
Role Overview
- Provides safe, effective, quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other perioperative areas
- Acts as a patient advocate
- Meets surgical standards of nursing practice
- Develops and implements total nursing care through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and care planning
- Works collaboratively with the healthcare team and ancillary personnel
- Performs age-specific care and interaction
- Completes head-to-toe assessments and reassessments, including pediatric and geriatric patients
- Assesses and reassesses pain and uses appropriate pain management techniques
