RN - Behavioral Health
Job Overview
- Location: Lafayette, Indiana
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Weekly hours: 36
- Setting: Acute inpatient behavioral health/addictions hospital
- Patient population: Adults
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Behavioral Health (2 years of experience)
- Behavioral Health experience within the last year
- BLS
- HWC
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Role Details
- Staff rotate between two units
- Weekend coverage is every third weekend
- No call requirements
- Typical patient ratio is 12:1, depending on census
- Patients must be medically cleared before arrival
- Patients with lines or tubes are generally excluded, except CPAP and up to 2L oxygen
- Most charting is paper-based
