RN - NICU

36 hours per week
Schedule
3 x 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays
Unit Overview
- Neonatal intensive care unit
- 108 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:4
- Staffed with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and nurse externs
- Floating may include PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU
- Care for patients under 2 years old
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS
- NRP
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience with preemies at least 28 weeks and above
- Management of central lines
- Respiratory management up to and including intubated patients
- Experience with surgical patients
- Experience with cardiac patients
- Experience with patients less than 27 weeks
- Care of tracheostomy infants
- Experience with broviacs
Preferred/Relevant Experience
- Surgical patients
