CT Tech

Overview

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Start date: ASAP
Assignment length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday–Friday
Weekend requirement: Occasional Saturday
On-call: Not required
Floating: May float within scope to provide x-ray coverage
First-time travelers: Accepted
Local candidates: Not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Required Qualifications

CT Technologist with 1 year of experience
CT Technologist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
ARRT (R)
ARRT (CT)
X-Ray experience with abdomen/GI
X-Ray experience with head/chest/thorax
X-Ray experience with musculoskeletal imaging

Preferred Experience

Neonates
Infants
Fluoroscopy studies
Enema studies

X-Ray Experience Required

Extremities
Abdomen/GI
Spine/Pelvis
Head/Chest/Thorax
Musculoskeletal
Lower/Upper Extremities

Work Setting

Outpatient clinic
Most patients are mobile
Many patients are seen for follow-up cancer diagnosis
Duties include starting IVs, running i-STAT labs, injecting contrast, and post-processing images

Additional Notes

Time off is reviewed individually after offer; only 1 time-off request is allowed per 13-week assignment
Guaranteed hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks
Scrubs are provided
Parking is free
